The Bay
The Bay consists of some 60ha of coastal land with almost a kilometer of shoreline. This beachfront includes a small beach with pristine water that maintains its transparency throughout the year, even in the rainy season that muddies rivers, deltas, and beaches. The currents also help keep these waters so pure, bringing in the fish that make The Bay very good for fishing.

The currents also help keep these waters so pure, bringing in the fish that make The Bay very good for fishing.
The topography of the property is ideal, as 3 natural amphitheaters have been naturally created facing south (to the Gulf and Santa Elena National Park) and to the southwest (perfect for sunsets). From the highest parts of the property (the highest hills exceed 130 meters above sea level), there are views over Salinas Bay and southern Nicaragua to the north of the property.
The naturally ascending topography timely protects the terrain from the common December through January winds that blow from the north during these dry months.
Due to its rectangular shape, The Bay has four borders: The Pacific (Gulf of Santa Elena) to the south, public highway to the East, private property to the North, and the Santa Elena Preserve to the West.
This area is seeing significant investment and development, which brings with it major improvements in infrastructure, including paved streets, electrification, and aqueducts. Today you can drive from Liberia International Airport to the property (65km) in one hour, and it is a very scenic route!
The Bay consists of 45ha of titled property and 12ha of land classified as a maritime zone. Within this maritime zone, there is 1ha of concession area. The maritime zone also has almost 1ha of land cataloged for future development, and, most importantly, 10ha of Natural Heritage land that can be developed in low density and low impact eco-lodge style. The land use for the 45ha is “residential-commercial-tourist”, which is probably the best possible categorization that could have been put into it.
