This stunning private island includes a completely renovated main lodge, originally built in 1875, with 8 bedrooms, 4 baths, a commercial kitchen, a family room, a library/office and numerous screened and open porches. Ancillary structures include a 2-bedroom guest cottage, a new 2 slip boathouse, deepwater docks and swim deck. Panoramic river vistas, privacy and a superior harbor make Whiskey Island a rare opportunity for the purchase of island property.
Whiskey Island's name comes from its storied history as a drop point for rum runners during prohibition. The shoals in the surrounding area are a favorite for divers curious to explore the past in search of relics of prohibition.
Whiskey Island Lodge offers a 7 day and 7 night rental for $8,500, or a nightly rate of $1,250 for a minimum of 4 nights. A $1000 deposit will secure your dates (non-refundable) and you can request housekeeping services for an additional fee. The Lodge is available to an allowance of 15 guests, however please contact the owners in regards to rates exceeding this allowance.
