Have you ever dreamed of living on your own island? Oar Island, with its 38 family-owned acres in Muscongus Bay, is accessible only by boat, yet is just 1/4 mile from the mainland. At high tide, go swimming right outside your front door - the shore is only 15 feet away. And when the tide goes out, dig for clams or take mussels from the rocks where you swam only hours before. Take one of our boats out to go fishing, or buy lobsters and clams at the nearby marina.

From the marina you can easily get to nearby mainland shopping and attractions whenever you wish. The nearest supermarkets and restaurants are within 15 minutes drive. The Cottage, ideal for 6 people, has a double bed in the downstairs bedroom and two twin bunks in each of the two upstairs bedrooms. The Cabin has a single bedroom with a double bed and two twin-size bunks. Folding cots and cribs are available for extra guests or small children. Boating skills are required, as you have to get yourself to the island.
