Accommodations
BEACH PALACES
4 huge Driftwood Palaces which capture the very essence of luxurious castaway fantasy. They are constructed completely from driftwood salvaged from the sea and are perfectly suited to catch the island breezes. Each Palace has one King sized bed, an ensuite
shower and bathroom and a Balinese day-bed (double) which can be used for children or additional guests. The spacious living area and sea-view terraces are furnished with sun- loungers and sofas-perfect for simply drinking in the peaceful atmosphere of Pulau Joyo. They are Beach palace 1, 2, 3 and 4.
Java Palaces - Rembang and Juwana
We have another 2 palaces which is called Java palaces. Java Rembang and Java Juwana are traditional Java joglos which have been dismantled and re-assembled on the island. They are beautifully furnished in the Javanese style with an ensuite bathroom and shower and open straight onto your private beach.
Bale
We have 2 small balé houses by the pool can be used for extra kids, couples or singles which have mosquito nets and fans. There is NO attached bathroom however there is bathroom at Pool pavilion not far away.
Life at Joyo
The all-year-round comfortable tropical temperature requires only light and natural fabrics. Polo-style shirts and summer dresses and sarongs are ideal with a pashmina or light jacket for the ferry. Shoes are not practical on the soft sandy paths, so we suggest that you use the sandals provided. Laundry service is offered, but there is no dry cleaning.
The Pool
Our pool is located at the centre of the island and is 25 metres long and 4 metres deep. The vast Pool House is home to our well-stocked bar and sound-system and is THE place for chilling out and relaxing.
Kids
Pulau Joyo is a paradise for kids and we can provide nannies to look after them while you are enjoying a massage or other facilities. Extra beds and cots are available for children. Kids love Joyo and we have a safe, fun playground area specially for them.

There is a Government mandated "No Fish Zone" 400 metres from the reef -drop off. We offer top-of-the-line snorkel gear free of charge. The Eastern tip of the island is where the fish are - the best coral is to the South.
Fishing trips
These trips can be arranged and are away from the island. Generally this is Indonesian-style fishing where the boat crew will show you how to bait a hook which is then hung over the side. We have a few fishing rods but you are welcome to bring your own. Our sailors can arrange bait.
Corporate
Senior executive retreats, departmental team building, high-achieving sales team rewards, or a highly stimulating environment for creative talent. Joyo is suited for, and has hosted, many such corporate trips.
Mobile phones work on Joyo if you really have to keep in touch. We have 240-volt electricity for recharging laptops and can provide white boards, flip charts and projector with screen.
Dining
Everyone is uniformly complimentary about our food. They really are. Three meals a day are included. We generally serve buffet and BBQ-style meals and always manage to cater for all tastes. Guests may choose where and when they dine and may eat as much as they like.
We normally serve Western and Indonesian-style dishes. These include grilled or barbequed fish, squid, prawns, beef and chicken as well as curries of all description. There are side dishes which include fresh garden salads, pasta salads, boiled/steamed leafy greens and grilled aubergine/egg plant (an island favourite). Prawn and tofu kebabs appear from time-to-time as do satay sticks. Our home-made salad dressing is raved about as is our freshly-baked bread. We serve fresh fruit, mango sticky rice and sometimes sago as well as home-made cakes for dessert (the almond cake has now been perfected).
