The main building (2000 square feet) has a kitchen with a propane fridge and stove. There is also a pantry and a beautiful screened in sunroom with 360-degrees water view. In addition, there are two other rooms on the main floor (12’x17’). The cottage is original, built with tongue and grove pine in all the rooms. The upstairs has 7 bedrooms that can easily accommodate 12 to 14 people. No electricity or plumbing in the main house.
This one of a kind place also includes a boathouse (20 x20), a shed (8x15) and an ice shack turned into a bathroom with running water from a 12-volt pump that is powered by a solar panel, which includes a large farmer sink, clawfoot tub & shower with hot water provide by a propane tankless water heater and a compost toilet.
From the island there is easy boating access to marinas, restaurants, and parks. Situated approximately 1hr from Montreal, 45min from Ontario and 10 min to New York State.
This location is known best for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, snowmobiling, hunting, swimming etc. The tranquil ambience is what make this place so special.
