The second floor loft accommodates a large leather pull out sofa bed, an office area and a workout area.

The Screened Porch

The main entrance to the east and west cottages is via the screened porch. A 480 sq. ft. the porch is spacious enough to accommodate a large dining table, a conversation area with wicker couches and chairs, a billiard table, and a gas barbeque and electric Traeger wood pellet grill/stove both of which can be rolled out to an open back deck. Screen doors open onto the extensive front deck. The porch is a favourite place to entertain and to idle away summer days.

The North Deck

The front/north deck spans the entire 90' length of the two cottages and central screened porch. Conversation groupings of teak and wicker furniture create intimate spaces inviting one to enjoy the spectacular water views to the west east and north. A transparent porch railing of cedar posts and tempered glass allow unimpeded views in all directions.

The Sleeping Cottage

The sleeping cottage, overlooking the south harbour, has a three piece bath with shower and one large bedroom with bunks and a double bed.

The Workout Cabin

What appears to be an old ice house at the north edge of the shoreline has been converted into a work out facility with free weights and a stationary bike.

The Sauna

A sauna and sun deck are sited at the waterside beside the north harbour.

The Harbours

Two deep water docking areas, one on the front/north side of the island the other to the south ensures safe docking in all weathers. Both have high quality steel/cedar docks and decks. The north dock can accommodate 3 boats. The south harbour is in a sheltered back bay and has a docking system which can provide tie up for seven boats.

A sand beach in the south bay is ideal for young children to wade and play and is perfect for launching watercraft and a small cabin by the docks provides storage for marine related items.

Location

Moffat Island is an easy ten minute boat run from Pointe au Baril marinas via the main channel. Pointe au Baril is a 2.5 hour drive from Toronto's International Pearson Airport and the GTA via 400 series highways.

Moffat is just one km from the Ojibway Club, the social and recreational centre of the Pointe au Baril cottage community which offers tennis, a children's camp, fine dining and a whole roster of activities geared for the cottage community.

It is also ideally situated for day trips to neighbouring picnic islands; the McCoys, Limestones and the Minks and, some say, the most superb fresh water sailing and boating in North America.
